Arnold Wilson Dawson

Mr. Arnold W. Dawson, age 86, of D'Iberville, MS., died Thursday, November 27, 2008, in D'Iberville. Mr. Dawson was a resident of the community for 60 years. He was a native of Weir, MS., and served in the US Army during WWII. He worked as an auto mechanic all of his life and retired from Clint Fulton and Sons Tire and Auto Care after over 20 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Dawson was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Margaret Hutchinson Dawson, two sisters, Mary Foster and Edna Hunter and a brother, Clyde Dawson. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Joyce Berry Dawson of D'Iberville, MS., two sons, David (Doreen) Dawson and James Arnold (Debra Ann) Dawson, all of Ocean Springs, MS., and five granddaughters, Stephanie, Jessica, Michelle, Christina and Lauren and one great-granddaughter, Siere. Visitation will be on Monday, December 1, 2008, from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM, with a 10:30 AM chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Swetman Cemetery in D'Iberville. The family would like to thank the staff of Odyssey Hospice of Gulfport for their care and compassion.
