Arthur Douglas Cox, fondly known as “Oz”, age 79, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away October 27, 2012. He was born February 20, 1933, in Morrisville, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Cox was a Navy Veteran who was honorably discharged in 1955 and retired from Sandestin Resort in Destin, Florida. He enjoyed woodworking, and also enjoyed having coffee on Saturday mornings with his Catholic friends at McElroy’s.
He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur Cox, Sr. and Doris Hall Cox, step-mother Shirley Miller Cox and wife Patsy Destin Cox.
Survivors include: his beloved wife of 25 years, Pamela Seymour Cox, children Lynn (Dan) Paskiewicz, Karen Cox, Susan (Mike) Dipilla, Paige (David) Leverette, Eric Cox, Dean (Cindy) Cox, and his children’s mother Gail Rupell Cox, brother Richard Cox and step-sisters Karen Miller and Charlene Sheeren. His life was also blessed by 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Zoe.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs is in charge of services.
