Arthur Walter Quave, Sr.

Mr. Arthur Walter Quave, Sr., 86, of Biloxi, MS, passed away at his home Friday, November 21, 2008. Mr. Quave was born November 10, 1922, in Biloxi where he remained a lifelong resident. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran of WW II and retired from Gulf National Life Insurance Company. He was a great fan of the New Orleans Saints and will take his Saints shirt and cap with him. Mr. Quave was preceded in death by his parents, McNeil Quave and Ann Meaut Quave, and a brother, McNeil Quave. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Ellen Ott Quave; sons, Arthur W. Quave, Jr. and Edwin Quave of Biloxi; daughter, Susan Carter of Grenada, MS; and several grandchildren. He was a beloved father and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family would like for memorials to be made to the Humane Society of South Mississippi, 2615 25th Ave., Gulfport, MS 39501. The family will hold a private memorial graveside service. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi. is in charge of arrangements.
