Aubrey "Sonny" James Ladnier Jr.

Aubrey “Sonny” James Ladnier Jr., 66, passed away peacefully at his home in Ocean Springs, MS on Thursday, October 13, 2022. Sonny was born on Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS to Velma Young and Aubrey James Ladnier Sr. on October 11, 1956.

Sonny graduated from Pascagoula High School in 1975 and later worked as a sand blaster at Huntington Ingalls. In his younger years, he loved playing sports such as football and baseball.

He is preceded in death by his father, Aubrey James Ladnier Sr.

Survivors include his son, Austin Ladnier and his fiancé, Courtney Waltman; daughter and grandson, Dana Ladnier and Izaiah Ladnier; brother, Greg Ladnier; sisters, Darlene Guthrie and Kim Riser and her husband, Davin Riser; mother, Velma Young; wife, Jan Ladnier; 5 stepchildren; and 13 step-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Ladnier Cemetery located at 1524 Ladnier Rd. Gautier, MS 39553. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Aubrey “Sonny” James Ladnier Jr.
