Audrey Holliman Owen

Audrey Holliman Owen, 88, of Biloxi, died Thursday, August 30, 2007 in Biloxi, MS. Mrs. Owen was born in Biloxi, MS on January 31, 1919. She retired from Keesler Air Force Base and was a member of the Biloxi Sports Hall of Fame for basketball. Mrs. Owen was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Earl D. Owen, Sr.; her parents, Edwin and Anna Schadd Holliman; two brothers, E. C. Holliman and Roy Holliman; and two sisters, Ruth Holliman Wilson and Eunice Holliman Horton. Mrs. Owen is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Bob) McGuire; and her son, Buzzy (Merry) Owen; five grandchildren, Bobby (Michelle) Jones, Stacy (Bob) Thunelius, Stephanie (Vandy) Mitchell, Carey Owen and Courtney (Vince) Dowdy; and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at 10:15am at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes; friends may visit from 9:30am until service time. Burial will be in the Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to St. Jude's Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
