Audrey Mercedes Lund Snyder

Audrey Mercedes Lund Snyder, 87, went to be with the Lord May 4, 2011 with her loving husband and children at her side. Audrey spent most of her life in Biloxi and served her family and community as a loving wife, dedicated mother, devoted churchgoer, and civic volunteer. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School through the eight grade then went to Biloxi High School where she graduated in 1940. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Edward Lund and Mary Antonia Rerecich Lund, and by her siblings, Mary Lund Landry, William Lund, Jr., and James Lund and by her daughter, Patricia Diane Snyder. Audrey is survived by Donal Snyder, Sr., her adoring husband of 66 years, and by her seven children, Donal, Jr. and wife, Pam, Susan and husband, Samuel, Chris and wife, Susan, Father Mike Snyder, David and wife, Jan, Judy and husband, Michael, William and wife, Wendy. She is also survived by her sister, Irma Lund White and husband, Robert and by her brother, Eugene Lund and wife, Virgie. Audrey is also survived by 13 grandchildren; Donal Snyder III, Joey Snyder, Tommy Snyder, Bill Richardson, Beth Richardson, Rose Snyder, Cecilia Snyder, Susannah Snyder, Danielle Snyder, Adam Kavanagh, Kathryn Kavanagh, Colin Snyder and Caroline Snyder and four great-grandchildren, Amy Snyder, Ian Snyder, Jackson Sukunik and Elizabeth Richardson. A Mass of Christian burial will be on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. until mass time. Entombment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to: Nativity Cathedral Window Restortation Fund, 870 Howard Ave., Biloxi, MS 39530. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
