Avery W. Mauldin

Avery W. Mauldin, age 90, of Gulfport, died Saturday, May 3, 2008 in Gulfport. Mr. Mauldin had been a resident of the Gulf Coast since 1948. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University and was a Master Sgt. in the U.S. Army for five years serving in Europe during World War II. He was a County Agent with Mississippi State University Extension Service. He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 60 years, Willie G. Mauldin; his parents, Robert and Beatrice Mauldin; and two brothers, Sam Mauldin and Ollie Mauldin. He is survived by his son, Avery L. Mauldin and his wife, Jean of Gulfport. The funeral service will be Friday, May 16, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport where friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until the service. Dr. Larry Hilliard will officiate. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
