Mr. B. D. Hendricks, age 77, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Saturday, April 2, 2011, in Ocean Springs.
B. D. was born in Lexington, KY., was a former resident of Pensacola, FL. and had been a resident of the coast since 2001. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, First U.S.A.F. K-9 Unit, with 21 years of service, retired in 1974, and following his retirement he became involved with the Blue Angels Squadron at Pensacola NAS. B.D. was an avid angler and spent the last 25 years of his working career on the gulf with his lifelong friends, Capt. Chuck (Jan, Brandy and Emily) Nicholson, in the charter boat industry of Pensacola.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Bonnie Hendricks of Ocean Springs; sons, Steve (Debbie) Hendricks of Biloxi, and Jeff (Dana) Hendricks of Pensacola, FL; four grandchildren, Weston, Jenny, Justin and Tracy; four great -grandchildren; and his brother, Fred (Marilyn) Hendricks of Fishers, Indiana.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at 3:30 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs where friends may visit from 2 until 4 p.m. Full military honors will follow.
