Barbara Ann Robbins McNab

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Barbara Ann McNab. Affectionately known to her grandchildren and close friends as Moose or Bobbie. She lived a long, full, and glorious life of 86 years.  She was loved and will be missed by many.
 
 She grew up in Cambridge, Maryland, where she lived until marrying Richard Kirk McNab (Mack), the love of her life.  Mack was in the United States Airforce training to be a pilot.  During this time, their life journey would begin of worldly travels together. She was a Cold War wife and mother. She thoroughly enjoyed the life of a career officer’s wife. She was as important to the mission as anyone else who held commission.

Barbara and her family arrived in Ocean Springs, MS in 1973. By 1976, she had established herself as a firm member of the Ocean Springs community as it was now home. 
 
 Barbara was an inspiration to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, their friends, and anyone that was lucky enough to come into her life. She loved life and people. On any given occasion there were family and family friends enjoying their time together and with Barbara in her backyard celebrating with pool parties, crawfish boils, birthday parties, or just a random Saturday night when people gathered in her home. She cooked on Sundays for her family (20 people) until the weekend she passed.  She was a pillar of her family and their friends.  Everyone knew they were welcome in her home.
 
 If there was a dance floor, Moose was on it. She enjoyed playing the washboards and spoons, but most of all singing karaoke with Mack.  In her younger years, she was an avid tap dancer and her witty personality carried her into her later years always ready to entertain.  She regularly beat her grandkids and their friends at cornhole on any given Sunday and loved every minute of it.  She looked forward to Thursday with her girls' playing cards, she was lucky and loved to win.  No matter her age, she loved a good party, she truly lived her life as a celebration.
 
 She is survived by her brother, Harold "Sonny" (Elaine) Robbins; her two daughters, Kelly McNab Williams and Jackie McNab Danner; her daughter- in -law, Frances Catchot McNab;  her nephews, Brian Robbins and Jason (Kaitlyn) Robbins; cousin, Wayne (Karen) Stayton; 8 cherished grandchildren; Kirk (Michelle) McNab, Loren (Bryon) Rogers, Kylie (Tony) Williams Bodden, Lucas (Ashlee) McNab, Bree (Blake) Robbins, Nikki McNab, Baylea (Taylor) Pontius and Alex Danner; and 19 heartbroken great- grandchildren, Myah (Elek) Kallioinen, Madison McNab, Trenton McNab, McKenzee McNab, Alora Mihalik, Channing Root, Meela Root, Hayden Williams, Hadley Kirk Rogers, River Rogers, Morgan Bodden, Monroe Bodden, Kellan Bodden, Brantley Robbins, Walker Robbins, Lottie Ann Robbins, Baker Robbins, Zeke Pontius and Beau Pontius.
 
 Moose was proceeded in death by her husband, Lt. Col Richard Kirk McNab; Mother, Pauline Robbins; Father, Luke Robbins; Son, Michael Kirk Mcnab; and Son in law, Jeffrey Owen Williams.

A visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Monday, February 19, 2024 with a funeral service at 12pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 all at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. Please join our family in a celebration of life after burial at 115 Watersedge ln, Ocean Springs MS, 39564.
