Barbara Thomas Cowart

Barbara Ann (Thomas) Cowart, age 60, of Gulfport, MS died Wednesday, January 20, 2021 in Gulfport. She was reunited in Heaven with her father Douglas Ray Thomas, Sr., her baby brother Henry Eldo Thomas, her sister and best friend Brenda Lewis, and her granddaughter Brittney Jade Andrews. Surviving family members include: her mother Betty Lois Cowart; sisters Betty Fay Guice and Cynthia Corcoran; brothers Ray and Richard Thomas; her husband Robert Cowart; daughters Chasity Burnett, Crystal Haddon, and Skye Cowart; and her grandchildren Troy (T.J.) Austin, Katlyn and Peyton Andrews, Charles and Ray Lee Burnett, and Ariel and Allen Haddon. She was a loving and caring person, devoted to her family and friends. She enjoyed helping others, never asking or expecting anything in return. She loved nature and could sit outside for hours admiring her roses and watching the birds and squirrels dance around the trees and grass. Barbara was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at the O'Neal Road location of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home where friends may gather one hour prior to service time. Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the Cowart family.
