Barbara “Sue” Amie

Barbara “Sue” Amie, 66, of Biloxi, passed into the arms of the Lord on April 30, 2007 in Biloxi. She was a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast for 42 years and a member of Bay Vista Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her father Ray Day, her father and mother-in-law Joe and Zula Amie and granddaughter Gabrielle Fleming. Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 49 years, Charles “Chuck” Joseph Amie; daughters and their husbands: Charlotte and Tony Abbenante of Raleigh, NC; Gena and Mike Carnley of Prattville, AL; Denise and Stan Fleming of Colorado Springs, CO; and Donna and Terry Wilson of Bassfield, MS; mother Exa Day of Amarillo, TX; sisters: Radene West of Amarillo, TX; Marie Wilcox of Eustace, TX; brother Charles Day of Big Sandy, TX; eight grandchildren, one granddaughter-in-law and one great-granddaughter. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 3rd at 10:30am at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home on Pass Road, Biloxi. Service will be at 12:30pm with burial following at the Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Women’s Resource Center at 9155 Lorraine Rd, Gulfport, MS 39503.
