Barbara Magruder

Barbara Ann Magruder, age 69, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Wednesday, July 12, 2006, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Magruder was born in Dayton, Ohio, and was a coast resident for the past year. She attended John H. Patterson Cooperative High School and Arkansas State University, graduating with an associate degree in nursing. She worked in the nursing field since she was 17. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles A. Helman and Ruth Iris Miles Helman. Survivors include her husband, Edward A. Magruder, daughter, Beth Hendrickson, son, Robert L. Griffing, sister, Shirley House, brothers, David Helman and Charles D. Helman, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter. Private memorial services will be held at a later date at the WSRH in Phoenix, Arizona. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to the Salvation Army or to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
