Barbara Ann Pittman Nolan

Ms. Barbara Nolan, age 80, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Marks, MS and had been a resident of the MS Gulf Coast for over 50 years. She earned A Bachelor's Degree in education from USM and a Master's Degree and Specialist Degree from William Carey College. She taught at Popp's Ferry Elementary for 36 years where she retired. She loved every minute of her teaching career as well as her student and colleagues. She was a loving mother, grandmother, teacher and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. Ms Nolan was preceded in death by her parents, Finley Wright Pittman and Ruth Raye Bryan Pittman, and a brother, Finley Bryan Pittman. she is survived by her two daughters, Kristi Kala (Michael) Mills and Tanya Ann (Scott) Echols; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Ms. Nolan was sent from Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Biloxi to Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, MS for graveside services on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Tabernacle Methodist Church (Big Creek) Cemetery in Calhoun City, MS.
