Becky Rosson Sonnier Trone

Becky Rosson Sonnier Trone, age 64, of St. Martin, passed away on October 18, 2011, surrounded by loving family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Becky's greatest loves were her husband, her four sons and her ten grandchildren. She was an active member and leader of the North Bay Mardi Gras Association to which she belonged for many years. She was also treasurer of the North Bay Mardi Gras Association, longtime treasurer of the St. Martin Babe Ruth League and the Grid Iron Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Bernice Rosson; her step-mother, Mona Rosson; her first husband, Daniel Sonnier; her sister-in-law, Margarette Trone; and her brother-in-law, Albert Paul Trone. She will be missed by her loving husband, Joe; sons, Danny (Melanie), Nicky (Natalie), Joey (Amy) and Adam; grandchildren, Sarah, Daniel, Ryan, Tyler, Devin, Dalton, Devon, Gavin, Cole and Jayde. In addition, she leaves two sisters, Judy Dur and Mary Richards; sister-in-law, Darlene Trone; brother-in-law, Elbert Trone; nephews, Ryan and Jamie; nieces, Kelly and Jennifer. She also leaves behind her chosen sister and best friend of over thirty years, Starlett Fayard and her family along with numerous other friends. As one of her loving survivors noted, "there is a new angel in heaven with a purple glow." A vistation will be held Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m.~8:00 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. rosary. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior on Friday, October 21, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Lemoyne Blvd. in D'Iberville.
