Bedola Seymour Askin Bond

Mrs. Bedola Seymour Askin Bond, 79, of Ocean Springs. Our beloved Granny Bea passed on to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, March 17, 2006. She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother. She was a charter member of First Baptist Church of Windsor Park, where she was a former Bible Training Service teacher and a member of the Women's Missionary Association. She had a passion and love for arts and crafts where she shared her talent by arranging and caring for the flowers at her church. She was a member of North Bay Senior Citizens, Young at Heart Club, and a former member of Ocean Springs Volunteer Ladies Auxiliary. She was one of the original homeroom moms for St. Martin School. Mrs. Bond was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh C. and Esther Seymour; her husbands, John Askin, Jr. and William F. Bond; her sister, Janet Reid; and her grandson, Terry D. Hilton. Mrs. Bond is survived by two daughters, Betty Jean Hilton of Ocean Springs and Patricia Ann Hilton and her husband, Travis of Vancleave; two sons, Floran "Punkin" Bond and his wife, Wanda of Pearl and Jay Bond and his wife Cathy of Ocean Springs; a sister, Lula Jacquet of Latimer; three brothers, H. C. Seymour III of Ocean Springs, Clarence Ray Seymour of Vancleave and Michael Roy Seymour of Latimer; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The Family would like to thank Dr. William Striegel and the nurses and staff of Quality Hospice for their care and compassion. Visitation will be Sunday, March 19, 2006 from 6:00 to 10:00pm at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes. Services will be Monday, March 20 at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow in Seymour Cemetery.
