Benjamin Roy Thompson

Benjamin “Ben” Roy Thompson, 60 of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023.

He was born on January 8, 1963 in Pascagoula, MS to Gerald Rudolph and Patricia Maxine Thompson. He graduated from Moss Point High School and Mississippi Law Enforcement Officer Training Academy. He was previously employed as a Deputy with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department. He enjoyed grilling/smoking, military aviation, and golfing.

Ben was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Rudolph Thompson; and daughter, Karen Nicole Thompson.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Catlett Thompson; mother, Patricia Maxine Thompson; sons, Joshua and Jonathan Thompson; grandson, Caston Thompson; brother, Tony Thompson; and sisters, Tracie Smith, Jana Watford, and Sandy Seymour.

In lieu of flowers, the family request all donations be made to Liberty Assembly of God, Gautier, MS.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Liberty Assembly of God, Gautier, MS. Friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
