Bennie Ray Cherry

Benny Ray Cherry, 75, of Gulfport died Monday, January 21, 2008 in Biloxi. Mr. Cherry was a native of Waxahachie, Texas. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force having served for over 22 years. He was a member of VFW 2546 for over ten years and was also a member of the American Legion of Gun Barrel City, TX. He was preceded in death by a son, Bryan Cherry and two step-sons, Kenneth Jordan and David Jordan; his parents, James S. and Jessie Kelley Cherry. Mr. Cherry is survived by his wife, Alice Cherry of Gulfport; a step-daughter, Angela D. McKeown of Pennsylvania; a son, Gary Doug Cherry and his wife, Mary of Houston, TX; two step-sons, Michael Jordan of Gulf Breeze, FL and Timothy Jordan of Gulfport; a sister-in-law, Linda Newburn of Natchez; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 12:15 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road in Gulfport where friends may visit from 10:30 until the service.
