Benny C. "Doodle" Moran

Benny C. "Doodle" Moran, 69, of Gulfport, died Sunday, September 18, 2005 in Gulfport. Mr. Moran was born in Gulfport and was a life long resident of Gulfport. He was a graduate of Gulfport High School and served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Moran retired in 2003 from Memorial Hospital at Gulfport, where he was employed for 21 years and was Employee of the Year. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, where he was a 32nd degree Mason. Mr. Moran was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Hamilton Moran, his sister, Hilda Vogt, and his brother, Pete E. Moran, Sr. Survivors include 5 daughters, Kelley Bitner of Indianapolis, IN, Wendy Bullen and her husband, Jeff of New Braunfels, TX, Amy Moran of d'Iberville, Angie Kimball, and Alexa D. Moran both of Gulfport, 3 sisters, Mary L. Hill, Estelle Hammontree, and Nelle Brown all of Gulfport, 2 brothers, William A. "Buddy" Moran, Jr. of Gulfport and James E. Moran of Long Beach, 3 granddaughters, Savanna Sones and her husband, Taylor, Daphanee Bullen, and Jourdan Ramsey. Visitation will be from 5-8PM, Thursday, September 22, 2005 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road in Gulfport. Service will be 10 AM, Friday, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Evergreen Gardens in Gulfport
