Mr. Benny DeSantis, age 75, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Tuesday, May 5, 2009, in Alabama.
Mr. DeSantis was a resident of Ocean Springs since 1972 and retired from the U.S. Air Force and Ingalls Shipbuilding. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion and was a member and usher at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Theresa DeSantis, two brothers, Albert DeSantis and Charles DeSantis and a sister, Louise McDaniel.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Elaine, two sons, David DeSantis and James (Heidi) DeSantis, a sister, Leona Branch of West Bloomfield, MI, and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Sunday, May 10, 2009, from 5-7 PM, with a 6 PM Rosary, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Monday, May 11, 2009, there will be an 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, where friends may visit from 10 AM - 11 AM. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.
