Bertha E. Brodnax

Bertha Brodnax, 99, passed away Monday, July 20, 2009 in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Brodnax was a lifelong resident of the Latimer Community. She is preceded in death by her husband, H. E. "Ed" Brodnax, Sr.; son, H. E. Brodnax, Jr.; infant daughter, Erma Brodnax; parents, Henry and Agnes Deloney; brothers, Andy, H. W. and Alva Deloney. Mrs. Brodnax is survived by her two daughters, Betty (Ronnie) Broussard, Doris (Albert) Santa Cruz; two sons, Tommy (Glenda) Brodnax and Armstead "Doc" Brodnax; two sisters, Edwina Balius and Zeolide Scarborough and one brother, Earl Deloney. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bertha will be greatly missed and remembered for her joyful laugh. Special thanks to Velma Arrington who has assisted the family with her care. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 11:00 am at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral. Friends may visit from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. Burial will be in Seymour/Deloney Cemetery, Latimer Community. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to one's favorite charity.
