Betty Suarez Alexander, age 76, a lifelong resident of Biloxi, died on December 20, 2012 at Canon Hospice in Gulfport, following a brief illness.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Vernon M. Alexander, her parents, Louis and Mattie Mae Suarez, and her sister, Barbara Suarez Reed.
She is survived by her three children, Louis Alexander of Houston, TX and his wife, Suzanne, Pamela Alexander Hautot, of Lafayette, LA and her husband, Jim, and Naomi Alexander Foster and her husband, Barney. She leaves behind six grandchildren who were the light of her life, James and Matthew Foster, Alex and Elizabeth Hautot, and William and Edward Alexander. She also leaves behind her dear brothers, Pete Suarez, Joe Suarez, Wayne Suarez, Raymond Suarez and Ronnie Suarez and their families.
Her family wishes to thank the staff of Canon Hospice for their compassion and the unsurpassed level of care provided during her illness.

Graveside services will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.
The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
