Betty-Ann Wehrlin Bowen of Ocean Springs, MS, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, succumbed to an extended illness on November 1, 2012 at the age of 83. Mrs. Bowen was born December 5, 1928 to Max and Mable Wehrlin of New Jersey. Betty-Ann was married to Kenneth Ralph Bowen on August 5, 1950 in Ridgewood, New Jersey. They moved to Ocean Springs from Connecticut in 2006.
Betty-Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Max and Mabel Wehrlin; her husband, Kenneth Bowen (6/29/2012); brother, George Wehrlin; sister-in-law, Ellen Wehrlin; daughter-in-law, Norma Bowen; great-nephew, Nathan Moore and great-grandchildren, Darius Bruno and Ray Ray Acevedo.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherrie L. Bowen-VanLeer (James); sons, Kenneth Max Bowen (Beverly) and Bruce Norman Bowen; grandchildren, Jennifer L. Acevedo (Ramon), Jeffrey Bowen, Ryan Bowen, Garrett Bowen, Emma Appleby (Bobby) and Sara Bowen; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Jacob and Zoe Acevedo and her brother, Paul Wehrlin (Lana).
The family wishes to thank Amber Colville, MD and Hospice of Light for the excellent care that was provided to our parents.
Services will be held at a later date with family and friends in Connecticut.
