Betty Evelyn Bennett

Betty Evelyn Bennett, age 78, of Gulfport died Monday, September 22, 2014 in Gulfport. She was a resident of Gulfport for the past 45 years. She was retired from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Jeff Davis campus after 32 years of service as administrative secretary in the Computer Center. She was a strong, loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. At her request, we will celebrate her joyous life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard F. Bennett; a sister, Doris Scott; and her parents, Clifford and Anna Crenshaw. She is survived by three daughters, Sheila (Keith) Morrison of Clovis, NM, Abby (Dale) Faulk and Linda Bennett all of Gulfport; a sister, June (H) Moe of Coleman, TX; three brothers, Bill (Jo) Crenshaw of Ruidoso, NM, Ray (Sandy) Crenshaw of Midland, TX, and James (Pat) Crenshaw of Stanford, TX; four grandsons, Tim Morrison, Kris Morrison, Kyle Morrison and Donald McCorvey, Jr; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday evening September, 26, 2014 from 5 until 7:00 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, O’Neal Road, Gulfport.
