Betty F. Irwin Harper

Betty F. Irwin Harper went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

Mrs. Harper was a homemaker, Sunday School Teacher, Seamstress, and a wonderful mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis (Olive) Wood; her husbands, William E. Irwin and Paul D. Harper; daughter, Denise (Albert) Wainwright; grandchildren, Janice Necaise, Courtney Schnitzer, and Will Irwin; and her siblings, Ethel (Alva) Basque, Yvonne (Jack) Senseney, Joan (Leo) Grimsley, Glen (Francis) Wood, and Russell (Shirley) Wood.

Betty is survived by her children, Deborah Necaise, Dianne Irwin, Cathy (Carl) Gardner, Ray Irwin, and Lizbeth (Danny) Hutchens; brother, Roy (Polly) Wood; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Deaconess Hospice, Beverly, and K.K., which she thought of as her own daughters for their outstanding care to our mother.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs, MS. Friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at Vancleave #2 Cemetery.
