Betty Groue Dugan

Betty Groue Dugan, 92, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021 in Biloxi.

Mrs. Dugan was born in Biloxi and was a lifelong resident of the coast. In her early years she worked at E.R. Moore Company in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Dugan was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D’Iberville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Max “Billy” Dugan; her parents, Arthur and Daisey Groue; her infant children, Janice Marie, Jimmie, Mary Beth and Betty Jean; her daughter, Wanda Jean Debije; her sisters, Doris Broussard, Bernice Letort, Myrtle Groue Broadnax and Gloria Davis; and her brother, Arthur Warren “Buster” Groue.

Mrs. Dugan’s survivors include her daughters, Janie Marie (Darryl) Bailey, Katherine Cornelia Dugan Halula, Emily Susan Dugan (Billy) Hughes and Bridgett Ann Dugan; her sons, Herman Monroe (Ruth) Dugan, Mark Adam (Terri) Dugan and Nathan Andrew (Nona) Dugan; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations in Mrs. Dugan’s memory be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 10446 Lemoyne Boulevard, D’Iberville, MS 39540.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until Mass time. Interment will follow at Groue Cemetery.
