Betty J. Thompson

Betty J. Thompson, age 85, of D'Iberville, MS, died Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Greenbriar Nursing Center in D'Iberville, MS. Mrs. Thompson was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh in Bradford, PA, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church also in Bradford, PA. She attended church services and Sunday School at the McClellan Road Baptist Church in North Biloxi and loved homemaking, cooking and needlecrafts. She is preceded in death by her husbands Charles Thompson and Peter DePalma, her parents Ralph, Sr. and Freda Kifer, and two brothers, Ralph Kifer, Jr. and Robert Kifer. Survivors include one daughter, Juanita (Lanny) Ferguson of Latimer, MS, a sister, Edith Adams of Kingsville, OH, and one grandchild, Lanny Ferguson, Jr. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 10:00 AM with an 11:00 AM service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-OKeefe Funeral Home. Additional services and burial will be held at a later date in Pennsylvania.
