Betty Joyce Taconi Viator

Betty Taconi Viator, age 77, of Ocean Springs, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 in Gautier, MS. Mrs. Viator was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. She loved music, dancing and her Catholic church. Betty was a very charitable person, who loved to make others feel loved and welcome. She was preceded in death by her son, Phillip W. Viator, Jr.; her father, A.J. Taconi; her mother, Marie (Julius) Zarachowicz and her brother, Robert Carroll Taconi. Survivors include her daughters, Kim (Bob) Allen of Ocean Springs and Rebecca (John) Skousen of Corona, CA; son, Jeff (Paula) Viator of Vancleave; sister, Catherine Guidry Blount of Gulfport and Juliette "Chee Chee" Stanovich of Biloxi; four grandchildren, Jeff and David Skousen of Corona, CA, Sarah Viator of Perkinston and Jonathan Allen of Ocean Springs along with two great-grandchildren. A special thanks and sincere appreciation to Jean Cooley for her dedication and wonderful care during our mother's lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, July 25, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Vancleave #1 Cemetery.
