Betty Lois Hengen

Betty Lois (Gilbert) Hengen, 78, of Biloxi, MS passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 with family and the care of Odyssey Hospice. Mrs. Hengen was born on October 6, 1932. Her love and devotion for family will be greatly missed. She was a member of Epworth Methodist Church of Biloxi until Katrina. She then became a member of Heritage UMC of D'Iberville. Mrs. Hengen graduated from Biloxi High School in 1951. She retired from the City of Biloxi Water Works Dept. in 1976. Mrs. Hengen is preceded in death by her parents, George, Sr. and Melinda Gilbert; brother, George, Jr.; sisters, Mary Ellen Suarez and Elizabeth Gilbert. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Lucius Hengen; son, Randy Hengen; her devoted daughter, Michelle Hengen; brother, Kenneth Gilbert (Betty Ann); sister, Gail Todaro (Joe) and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A visitation will be on Thursday, October 21, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Biloxi. Graveside services will be on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Southern Memorial Park. Pallbearers are: Timmy Kennedy, Sr., Timmy Kennedy, Jr., Mark Battise, Wayne Hengen, Timmy McLendon and Jerrod Todaro.
