Betty Lou Ryan Callegari

Betty Lou Ryan Callegari, 61, of Biloxi, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2012. Betty Lou was a native and lifelong resident of St. Martin. She was a loving wife and mother, but most of all she loved spoiling her grandchildren. As an employee of Bancorp South for over 40 years, she adored her co-workers and her many customers. Betty Lou is preceded in death by her parents, Henry B. and Norvel Bennett Ryan. Her survivors include her loving husband of 38 years , Johnny Callegari, Sr., of Biloxi; son, Jay (Crystal) Callegari, of Woolmarket; daughter, Vicki (Stewart) Smith, of Biloxi; sisters, Nancy Letort, of St. Martin; Theresa (Keith) Simmons, of Long Beach; grandchildren, Abbey, Jackson, Katie and Shelby; and step-mother, Jean Bond Ryan, of D’Iberville. Visitation will be held Monday, August 27, 2012 at Nativity BVM Cathedral from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a Funeral Mass starting at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at D’Iberville Memorial Park. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials may be made to St. Jude or the American Heart Association.
