Betty Joyce Sissom

Elizabeth “Betty” Joyce Sissom, age 92, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at her home surrounded by family.

Betty was born to Robert and Ivy Luther. She graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic School in Biloxi, MS.

She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Alvie Sissom; grandson, Matt Derouen; and sister, Rose Ladner.

Betty is survived by her children, Karen (Scott) Keber, Regina Sissom, Kenny “Shorty” Christian (Emmy); grandchildren, Kelly Derouen, Tina (Bosco) Morales, and Greg (Joni) Higuera; great-grandchildren, Hailey Ulrich, Alanna Lee, Aubree Cate Higuera, Conner Morales, and Miles Atmore; and her pets, Hermie, Baby, Rocksie, and Tinker Bell.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Gene Staten, Inhabit Hospice, Susan P. LeNoble, Meghann and Angela Liberato.

Betty was loved by us all. She will be missed.
