Betty Joyce Page White

Betty Joyce White, age 89, of Gulfport, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

Betty was born on September 8, 1933. She owned and operated Joyce’s Quick Stop on 28^th Street in Gulfport for many years. Betty retired from A&P grocery store after many years. She later did home health care.

Betty loved to cook and was known for her seafood gumbo. She never refused a meal to anyone and was forever there for her children until the end. Betty was loved and will be missed. She was a part of us and will be forever in our hearts. 

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Richmond and Georgia Page; daughter, Helen Ann Carter; grandson, Joshua Cornell; and sisters, Bonnie Jean Page and Lois Entrekin.

Survivors include her daughters, Angie Kim Pinkston and Teresa Joy Sledge; sons, Frank Joseph Cornell, Lealon Delane White, and Mark Allen White; grandchildren, Jennifer Dochler, Brock Cornell, Jimmy Pinkston, Jason Pinkston, Delbert Sledge III, Delsha Inness, Dahlton Sledge; great-granddaughter, Madison Cornell; and sister, Georgia (Pee Wee) Thompson.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Dobson Holliman Cemetery in Gulfport. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15^th Street, Gulfport is honored to serve the White family.
