Mr. Billy "Bill" Derrell Walton, age 71, of Vancleave, MS., died Tuesday, November 1, 2005, in Ocean Springs.
Mr. Walton was born in Trumann, AR., on January 3, 1934, and had been a resident of the coast since 1970. He was a graduate of Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Ar., where he majored in Business Administration. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. After moving to the coast, Mr. Walton was employed with Ingalls Shipbuilding in the Program Office. He later operated his business in Vancleave, Po Boy Bill's, until his retirement.
Mr. Walton was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Alma Walton of Trumann, AR.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Aileen Dudley Walton, of Vancleave, a daughter, Charlotte Skelton and husband, David, of Cleveland, MS., a son, Mark Walton and wife, Marcy, of Vancleave, five grandchildren, Marc Walden and wife, Anna Laura of Memphis, TN., Allie and Emery Skelton, Jesse and Justin Walton, and two great-grandchildren, Savanna and Ava Rose Walden. Other survivors include his two brothers, Floyd Walton and Dale Walton, both of Trumann, AR.
A private memorial graveside service will be held at a later date.
The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
