On Saturday, September 23,2023 Billy “Bill” Hascal Elliott left this world for his heavenly home. Billy was born July 20,1964, to Billy Joe Elliott and Shirley Jean Elliott. He was one of three children, he had two sisters, Amanda White and Carrie Hartle.
Billy was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He joined the United States Navy in 1982. His hobbies consisted of fishing and football. His favorite football team was, the Tennessee Volunteers. In 1983, Billy worked as a communication technician for several companies.
On January 9,1988, he was united in holy matrimony to Marie Elliott, from this union, four children were born, Billy Elliott, Michael Elliott, Christine Scanlon-Elliott, and Matthew Scanlon- Elliott. In 2014, Billy and his family relocated to Pass Christian, Mississippi, where he was hired as a wire technician for AT&T. Later in his career, he was promoted to a Network Manager in Metairie, Louisiana where he served with a spirit of excellence. Throughout his years he changed the culture of the work environment by instilling great morals, work ethics and responsibility within his staff. His favorite quote was, “It’s better to ask for forgiveness rather than permission.” Billy really impacted so many lives within his career, by making a difference everywhere he went.
Billy was preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe Elliott, and his heavenly grandchildren, Noah, and Jeremiah Scanlon-Elliott. He is survived by his mother, Shirley Jean Elliott, his sisters, Amanda White and Carrie Hartle, his lovely wife, Marie Elliott, his children, Billy Elliott (Son), Michael Elliott (Son), Christine Scanlon-Elliott (Daughter), and Matthew Scanlon- Elliott (Son), his grandchildren, Billy Elliott, Oaklyn Elliott, Kaylee Beth Elliott, Makenna Elliott, Maddox Elliott, and Jameson Elliott.
Services will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Homes, 1726 15th Street, Gulfport, MS 39501. Visitation at 5:00pm until the Memorial Service at 7:00pm.
