Billy Austin Hart

Billy Austin Hart of Vancleave, MS passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2014. Billy was born on April 28, 1939 in Bolling, AL and raised in Pascagoula, MS. Billy retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding after 41 years of service. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Gulfport, MS. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Robert “Austin” and Myrtle Hart; a son, Douglas Hart; and his in-laws, James and June Stewart. Billy is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Carol Hart of Vancleave; five children, Tracy (Mike) Adams of Osage Beach, MO, James (Donna) Hart of Gautier, Deidre Hart of Dothan, AL, Angie Batia of Latimer and Tina (Steven) Weaver of St. Martin; 12 grandchildren, Ashely (Donnie) Ramsay, Farmington, MO, Jassen Morgenstern, Lake Ozark, MO, Jessica Hart, D’Iberville, Jared (Devin) Hart, Gautier, Brandi Hart, Shalimar, FL, Wesley Hart, Gautier, Gunner, Kaden and Jagger Batia, Latimer, Kane Wills, Vancleave, Dylan and Tyler Weaver, St. Martin; and 10 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the Faith Baptist Church – Building Fund, 8467 Canal Road, Gulfport, MS 39503. Visitation will be Friday, November 14, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2014 all at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, where friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
