Billy Joe Hughes

Billy Joe Hughes, age 69, of Gulfport died Tuesday, February 2, 2021 in Gulfport. Mr. Hughes was born in Ruleville, MS and was a lifelong resident of the Coast. He was a retired construction worker and a singer associated with the Brite Nite & Family for many years. He was a member of the Pentecostal faith. His hobbies included smoking and grilling, fishing and painting. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Eva Hughes, sister Doris Hariel (Larry), brothers Edward L. Hughes, Jr. (Benita), John Hughes, Sr. (Dianne) and Michael Wayne Hughes (Laura). Private services will be held. Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, is honored to serve the Hughes family.
