Billy Joe Gilson, Jr.

Mr. Billy Joe Gilson, Jr., 43, of Vancleave, MS, died Sunday, December 9, 2007, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Gilson was born in Greenville, MS and had been a resident of the coast for the past 25 years. He was an accomplished artist who drew cartoon characters. He was an avid fisherman who loved to cook his catch. He loved his family, life and friends. Mr. Gilson was preceded in death by his mother, Nan Gilson. Survivors include his son, Joshua Keith Gilson of Vancleave; father, Billy Joe Gilson, Sr. of Vancleave, and four sisters, Angelon Pardon of New Orleans, LA, Hazelon Rich of Gulfport, Dena Hempstead of Lucedale, and Trena Brackett of D'Iberville. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at 7 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi where friends may visit from 5 p.m. until service time.
