Billy Warren Hewett, Sr.

Mr. Billy Warren Hewett Sr, age 57, of Ocean Springs, MS., passed away on Friday, February 17, 2012, in Vancleave. Mr. Hewett was a lifelong resident of the coast and was employed with Ingalls Shipbuilding for 25 years. He was also affiliated with St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Warren Hewett, mother, Mary Davis, father, John Will Hewett, and two brothers, Roy Pierce, Jr. and Mike Hewett. Survivors include a son, Billy Warren Hewett, Jr of Vancleave, the love of his life, Linda Hewett of Ocean Springs, two brothers, Wayne (Sandra) Hewett and Steven Stewart, both of Vancleave, three sisters, Sherry (Michael) Grimes, Geila (Glenn) Windham, both of Ocean Springs and Robin Stewart of Vancleave, two grandchildren, Jonathan and Johanna Hewett of Ocean Springs, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 2 pm at Graceland Baptist Church on Gautier-Vancleave Rd. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
