Billy Wayne Hunt, Sr., Ret. M/Chief US Navy

Mr. Billy W. Hunt, Sr., age 75, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Tuesday, May 18, 2010, in Biloxi. Mr. Hunt was a native of Baytown, Texas, and served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years. He retired in 1971 as a Master Chief. Following his military retirement he continued to work as a Machinist for several shipbuilding companies. He enjoyed guitar playing, his grandchildren and throwing his cast net. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Doris Hunt of Ocean Springs, MS., three daughters, Tonya (Wesley) Towner of Vancleave, MS., Cheryl (Robert) Winborne and Terri (Scott) Wescovich, all of Ocean Springs, two sons, Billy (Christy) Hunt, Jr. of Vancleave, MS., and Bobby Hunt of Ocean Springs, sister, Dorothy Lensing of Baytown, TX., seventeen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 22, 2010, from 12 Noon until 2 PM, with a 2 PM chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
