Blanche Virginia Carroll

Blanche Virginia Carroll went home to be with her Lord and Savior; Jesus Christ, on October 1, 2007. She was born in Fornfelt, MO and lived a very full life. She was a resident of Ocean Springs, MS for the last four years. She loved to sing and play the guitar and piano for the Lord. She served most of her life for God through Evangelistic Ministry around the world. Ginger raised three children to serve God with all their hearts. She leaves behind a Godly inheritance and legacy for all of her family to cherish. She was known for her smile and laughter. Even though her body and mind deteriorated her spirit stayed strong and she knew the name of Jesus. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Flora Russell, 3 sisters, 4 brothers, 2 husbands, daughter, Joyce L. Dunkin, and son, Rev. David Lee Stevens. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Judy Jermyn and husband, Burnett of Biloxi, MS, and daughter-in-law, Hazel Stevens of Phoenix, AZ "Ginger" was known to her seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren as Ma Ma Ginger. She loved to tell her family that if it wasn't for her, none of us would be here. She was very proud of her family. She was dearly loved by her grandchildren and their spouses, Steven Mark Dunkin and Leah of Biloxi, Frank Jermyn of Ocean Springs, Guy Jermyn and Lorraine, of Biloxi, David Dunkin and Kathy, of Biloxi, Darlene Dunkin Emile and Ronnie, of Ocean Springs, Renee Jermyn Carter and Mark, of Meredian, and Scott Stevens and Megan, of Phoenix, AZ. Her great-grandchildren are; Steven Mark Dunkin, II and Erica, Jeremy Dunkin and Kelly, Bryan Jermyn, Brandi Carter, Alyssa Jermyn, Meagan Emile, Kandyce Carter, Destiny Dunkin, Brianna Dunkin, Jace Carter, Nathan Jermyn, Alex Emile, Sierra Dunkin, Dakota Dunkin, Hailey Stevens, Brooke Stevens, Faith Dunkin and Joshua Dunkin. Her great-great-grandchildren are Steven Mark Dunkin, III, Justin Kyle Dunkin, and Alexis Mazingo. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff and nurses of Ocean Springs Nursing Center and Rhonda Smith, and staff of Trinity Hospice for their kindness and quality healthcare during the last days of her life. Visitation is Thursday, October 4, 2007, from 1 until 2 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. Private services will be held later with interment in Southern Memorial Park.
