Blayne Makinlee Davis

An Angel wrote in the Book of Life, my baby's date of birth. Then whispered as she closed the book, "Too beautiful for Earth!" Infant Blayne Makinlee Davis of Gautier, MS, made her joyous arrival into our lives on Saturday, October 20, 2007. During her short time with us, she brought great joy, strength, and faith to all that came to know her in person, spirit, and heart. On Saturday, November 3, 2007, Jesus decided He needed a HERO and special angel in HEAVEN. In the early morning hours, He gave her wings, took her hand, and called her home. She is now resting at peace in Jesus' loving arms bringing great joy to her grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who are there with her. She will always hold a very special place in each of our hearts. Through her strength, hope, and faith, we are all better people. Blayne leaves to cherish her precious memories with her parents, Melissa and Chad Davis and her dogs, Brinkley and Cedar. She also leaves her paternal grandparents, Billy and Dianne Davis, maternal grandparents, John and Cheryl Jalanivich, great-grandmother, Lois Davis, and great-grandfather, John Fagan, Uncle Kenneth and Aunt Dawn Varney, Uncle Mark and Aunt Courtney Hubbard, Aunt Ashley Jalanivich and Uncle Chad Collums. She also leaves four very special cousins who miss her dearly: Chandler Varney, Maura Kaye, Brock and Brayson Hubbard. Numerous great-aunts and great-uncles, cousins, and many very special extended familly members and dear friends. Everything happens for a reason; Blayne has taught us all so much in a short period of time. She would want all of us to LIVE, LAUGH, and LOVE JESUS with ALL of our hearts, souls, and strength! Blayne's family wishes to thank the University of South Alabama Children's and Women's Hospital, Nurses Crys and Holly in the N.I.C.U., the Ronald McDonald House of Mobile, AL, and everyone who sent prayers, gifts, words of encouragement, love, hope, and faith to all of us. Visitation is Monday, November 5, 2007, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the East Campus of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Ocean Springs. Funeral services will also be at the church on Tuesday at 10 a.m. where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, Blayne's family would like for donations to be made to USA Children's and Women's Hospital and the Ronald Mcdonald House of Mobile, AL, in Blayne's Memory. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs is in charge of arrangements.
