Blodwyn Lett Pritchard

Blodwyn Lett Pritchard, 86, was delivered by God's Holy Angels to our Lord, October 14, 2009. Resolute and intrepid to the end, she was a resident of the MS Gulf Coast since 1981and a registered nurse retired from Memorial Hospital at Gulfport. Mrs. Pritchard maintained an active lifestyle for many years. Her travels took her overseas to France and other countries of Europe on several occasions, including Greece and Italy; particularly meaningful to her, a trip to her family's native town in Wales. Blodwyn's other avocation included a keen interest and a passion for theater and opera, having been a singer from a long line of distingished Welsh singers. She was an antique afficionado, with collectibles from such distant climes as Sitka, AK, which she frequented on more then one occasion. Mrs. Pritchard was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas H. and Blodwyn Ellen Lett; her aunts, Lena Spencer and Mamie Lewis; uncles David Lewis and Samuel Lewis; and a loving and devoted husband of twenty-seven years, John Alexander Pritchard; a better man there never was. She is survived by one daughter, Karen Pritchard Williamson, husband, Thomas and step-son, Tom, from Sequim, Washington; son, Thomas A. Pritchard and wife, Maureen M. (Rider) of Ocean Springs, MS and step-daughter, Johneen Marie Nix, Atlanta, GA. Funeral Services are Friday, October 16, 2009 at 12:00 pm at Christus Victor Luthern Church in Ocean Springs. Friends may visit from 11:00 am until service time. Interment will be in Manasota Memorial Park in Bradenton, FL. The family expresses their utmost appreciation and thanks of the gracious, tender and loving care Mrs. Pritchard received by Dr. and Mrs. James B. Martin, as well as the staff of Kare-Med Nursing Home of Ocean Springs, MS. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Ocean Springs. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Ave., Biloxi is in charge of arrangements. View and sign register book at www.bradfordokeefe.com
