Bobby Lewis Winders of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on February 7, 2012, at the age of 65. He was born November 14, 1946, in Aberdeen, MS, the son of Carl E. and Aileen (Willis) Winders, who were lifelong residents of Hamilton and currently reside in Columbus, MS. Bobby graduated from Hamilton High School and Mississippi State University. Bobby spent his life performing as an accomplished keyboard player and musician for more than 30 years in North MS and AL. Bobby was a natural, self-taught entertainer, playing the piano, keyboard, guitar, and saxophone. Prior to relocating to the Gulf Coast in 1994, he worked for Monroe County Co-op and owned various small businesses in North MS. After relocating to the Gulf Coast, Bobby worked for ten years at the Grand Casino as a table games dealer and supervisor. An avid collector, Bobby enjoyed cars, motorcycles and boats. Bobby was a member of the Moss Point Masonic Lodge and former member of New Prospect Baptist Church in Hamilton. He is survived by his loving wife, Anna Faye Kelley-Winders of Ocean Springs, his parents, and one son Christopher (Marrion) Winders of Tupelo, four grandchildren, Mills, Mason, Mary Dillard and Morgan Winders of Tupelo; a stepson Jason (Darcy) Kelley of Mobile, AL; one sister Shirley (Don) Wilemon of St. Cloud, FL, nieces Alicia (Andy) Sullivan and children Seth Bishop, Drew, Logan, and Isabella of Front Royal, VA and Neely (Scott) Butler and children Victoria, Reed, Nathan, and Zakery of St. Cloud, FL, brother-in-law Joe A. (Betty) Walley Jr. and their children, Mark (Rana) Walley, Marsha (Wesley) Ruth, and Dede (Chris) Davidson of Lucedale and numerous family members and special lifelong friends, including his Aunt Ruby Jewel (Raymond) Boyd, Harold Loftin, John and Peggy Hoffman and son Larry, and Dr. Marie (Mickey) Heim and son Randon. Bobby was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather, (Papa Bobby) and will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Bobby L. Winders and Anna Faye Kelley-Winders Scholarship Fund at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Foundation, P.O. Box 99, Perkinston, MS 39573. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 9, 2012, from 2 pm until 4 pm with a 4 pm chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Friday, February 10, 2012, there will be a visitation from 3 pm until 4 pm at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen, MS. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Aberdeen.
