Boise Ray “Skip” Butterfield, Jr., 67, of Biloxi, MS passed away Friday, December 30, 2016 in Biloxi.
Skip was a native and lifelong resident of Biloxi. He was of the Catholic faith and attended Our Lady of Fatima and Nativity BVM parishes. Skip was retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula. He was a member of the board for the MS Beach Cruisers and enjoyed fishing.
He is preceded in death by his father, Boise “Ray” Butterfield, Sr.; and his brother, Byron Butterfield.
Skip’s survivors include his wife of 30 years, Deborah Vallo Butterfield; his son, Jonathan Ray (Meghan) Butterfield; his daughters, Kelly (Ben) Wilkerson and Jessica (Yousef) Hamadeh; his mother, Catherine Montgomery Butterfield; his sisters, Cheryl Lamey and Beth (Phil) Carriere; and his grandchildren, Wade, Lucian, James and Willa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Nativity BVM Cathedral on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Friends may visit from 12:00 pm until mass time. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
