Brenda Ann Foster Schwegman

Brenda Ann Foster-Schwegman, 64, went to be with her Lord, Saturday, August 25, 2012. Brenda was born on July 20, 1948 in Ocean Springs, MS to the late Geraldine Allen and Curtis Leonard Allen. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Robert Foster, Sr. Brenda was a lifelong resident of Ocean Springs, MS and a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. She had an abiding faith in God and was devoted to her family and church. She attended the University of Southern Mississippi and earned her Bachelor of Science and Masters degree in Education. She began her teaching career in 1990 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church until her retirement in 2009. Among her many activities she was a Girl Scout Leader, member of Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, an avid gardener and a traveler. Brenda will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Robert (Rebecca) Foster and Gregory (Martha) Foster; daughter, Angela Cumbest; grandchildren, Kelsi, Austin, Joseph, Ethan, Owen, James and Jet; great-grandchild, West; sister, Mary Margaret (Greg) Cassidy, brothers; Mike (Beverly) Allen and Leonard Allen; second family; husband, JoDon Paul Schwegman; children, Teri (John) Peters, Jill (Jake) Shurden; grandchildren, Connor, Madison, Morgan, Hailey and Max. Brenda will also be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. Visitation will be on Monday, September 3, 2012, from 5 pm ~ 8 pm, 7 pm Rosary, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Tuesday, September 5, 2012, there will be a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, where Mrs. Schwegman will lie in state beginning at 9 am. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
