Mrs. Brenda Joyce Tootle DeBell, age 48, of Ocean Springs, MS., went home to her heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 23, 2006, after losing a prolonged, valiant battle with lung cancer.
Brenda was born on September 21, 1957, in Biloxi, MS. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Biloxi in 1975 and was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. She served proudly with the US Navy and was a Gulf War veteran.
Brenda loved fishing, family, motorcycle riding, Mardi Gras, and her work as district supervisor for 17 years with Clark Oil Company of Waynesboro, MS. She was a devoted mother, wife, and friend to family and co-workers. She will be sadly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Tootle, Sr., and grandparents, Samuel and Leona Tootle and Horace and Eva Krohn.
Brenda leaves to cherish many wonderful and everlasting memories for her husband, Ron DeBell of Ocean Springs, a daughter, Crystal Jordan of Jackson, MS., mother, Kathryn Tootle Lutz and stepdad, Bob Lutz, sisters, Cynthia Tootle Wolfe, Wanda Tootle Freeland and husband, Tom, all of Ocean Springs, brothers, Roy "Jimmy" Tootle and wife Gwen of Long Beach, MS., Ronald Tootle and wife Kelly of Biloxi, and Eva Tootle Clark and husband Tony of Vancleave. Brenda also leaves in-laws, Joseph and Joan DeBell of Manassas, VA, John and Liz De Bell of Weirsdale, FL, Jeanne and Layne Polocheck of Houston, TX., and Susanne De Bell of Centerville, VA., along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
On Monday, March 27, 2006, there will be an 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, where friends may call from 10-11 AM. Burial will follow in Seymour Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Pharmacy, 681 Division Street, Biloxi, MS. 39530.
The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
