Mrs. Brenda Freeman, 66, of D'Iberville, MS, died Friday, August 18, 2006, in Covington, GA.
Mrs. Freeman was a native of Rowan, NC and had been a resident of the coast for the past two years. She was an accomplished gardener and seamstress who loved to fish. She was an outstanding businesswoman, a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Bertha Pate; two sisters, Azelea and Lois, and a brother, Carl Pate. Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Emile Freeman; her daughter, Gia Newell and her husband, Dwight, of Biloxi; one son, Al Foy, of Boise, Idaho; three sisters, Dot, Hazel Felts, and Iris of North Carolina; three brothers, Walter Pate and Ray Pate of Atlanta, GA, and Ken Pate of Ahoskie, NC, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held August 30, 2006, at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. Interment was in Southern Memorial Park.
