Brenda Brechtel Riordan

Brenda Brechtel Riordan, age 82, of Pass Christian, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport.

Brenda was born on December 26, 1941 in New Orleans, LA to William Warren Brechtel and Thecla Fink Brechtel. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in Bay St. Louis. Brenda was an active member of Holy Family Parish in Pass Christian where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and choir member.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jim Riordan, Sr.; two sons, Jim Riordan, Jr. and Robbie Riordan; and one grandson, Reed Riordan.

Survivors include her five children, Billy Riordan, Rick (Shannon) Riordan, Patti (Tim) Davis, Dean (Katie) Riordan, and Paige (Lee) Baggett; ten grandchildren, Madeline (Ben), Brandon (Payton), Demi (Shane), Bryce, Riley, Ricky, Parker, Gracie, Jackson, and Noah; and six great-grandchildren, Oakley, Harper, Isabella, Ben, Hayes, and Sonny.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 22342 Evangeline Drive, Pass Christian, MS 39571. Friends may visit one-hour prior to service. Interment will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Greenwood Cemetery, 5190 Canal Boulevard, New Orleans, LA 70124. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport is honored to serve the Riordan family.
