Brian Dewitt Atchley

Brian Dewitt Atchley, 54, of Biloxi, MS passed peacefully in his sleep at his residence on Friday, February 28, 2025.

Brian was born on June 27, 1970 in Biloxi to Grover D. Atchley, Jr. and Ruthie L. Atchley. He graduated from St. Martin High School. Brian’s career consisted of underwater welding offshore. He was a well-respected welder at Ingall’s Shipbuilding and a supervisor at Friede Goldman. Brian was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed camping and pulling pranks on anyone he could. Brian was a “favorite uncle” to his nieces and nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father, Grover D. Atchley, Jr.

Brian’s survivors include his mother, Ruthie Lee Atchley; his children, Dustin Atchley, Brianna Mattox, Dalton Mattox and Ellie Atchley; his sisters, Lisa Atchley (James) Byrd and Teresa Atchley (Tracy) McCallum; his nieces and nephew, Ashleigh Gollott (Johnny) Beck, Brandon (Ashley) Atchley, Bailey (Arthur) Bui, Lacie Gollott (D.J. Champion) and Madison Brown; and his pet, Booji.

He will be greatly missed by his family and all that knew him.

Funeral Services will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue in Biloxi on Friday, March 7, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Friends may visit from 12:00 pm until service time. Interment will follow at D’Iberville Memorial Park.
