Mr. Douglas Grantham, 30, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Saturday, January 1, 2011, in Pascagoula.
Douglas was born in Biloxi and remained a lifelong resident of the coast. He attended Ocean Springs Schools and was a 1999 graduate of Resurrection High School in Pascagoula. He played the cello for over 27 years and was a former member of the Gulf 'Coast Syphony Orchestra. He attended St. Paul United Methodist Church and was employed with Fort Bayou Saloon as a cook.
Douglas is survived by his parents, Bruce A. and Kathryn Grantham; his daugther, Madyson Grantham-Carter; sister, Kathryn (John Parick) Barrett; his girlfriend, Sally Christina Jolley; uncle, Don W. (Mary) Grantham and nephew, Jacob Barrett.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Association, 350 W. Woodrow Wilson Drive, Suite 2470, Jackson, MS 39213.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at 6 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs where friends may visit one hour before service time.
