Bruce Edward Byrd, 49, of Biloxi, MS died on November 17, 2010. Mr. Byrd was a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University with a BA degree in Business. He worked for Balius Floor Coverings for over 30 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Ocean Springs. Mr. Byrd enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clayton and Velma Byrd; maternal grandparents, B.T. & Bertie Boyd. Mr. Byrd is survived by his wife, Susan Liner Byrd of Biloxi; son, Benji Richoux (Laura) of Biloxi; daughter, Kristy Richoux (Doug Sellers) of Biloxi; parents, William "Sonny" and Bobbie Byrd of Ocean Springs; brother, Keith Byrd (Karen) of Woolmarket; sisters, Metta Temple (Todd) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Joy Gough (Matthew) of Ocean Springs, Tre Toche "Tre Byrd III" of Biloxi; grandchildren, Heidi and Peyton Richoux and his extended Louisiana Cajun family. Numerous nieces and nephews and lifelong friends Keith Beaugez and Greg "Country" Glenn. The family would like to thank Dr. Allison Wall and Associates and the nursing staff at Memorial Medical Oncology unit, 3rd floor. Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Ocean Springs. Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
